Located
within the beautiful San Alfonso del Mar resort in Algarrobo, Chile is
the world’s largest swimming pool officially documented in December 2006
by the Guinness Book of World Records.
This
massive pool spans an impressive 1,013 meters in length which totals
just under 20 acres. The pool is big beyond belief, holding 66 million
gallons of water. To put in perspective, the pool is roughly the same
size as 6,000 8 meter long swimming pools put together. Seeing that this
swimming pool is considered the largest pool in the world, many
tourists flock to San Alfonso del Mar every year.
